SHALOM!
It has been like, 4 months since my last post! WOW!
Truth be told, I'm still dealing with my mouth!
So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire! ~Yaacov/ James 3:5
I would like to take a moment of your time explaning something
that I think is very important. I read it in a book called The pursuit of GOD (YHWH)
It's by a christian author, and it really spoke to me. I've had MANY problems with my mouth latley.
In a couple of days my family and I are supposed to visit my grandparents over in Meritt Island.
They are not TORAH observant, unfortunately, and I have to confess I didn't do so well the last two times
we were over there.
Just last night I was wachting a cooking show called Chefs vs. City
and in it, there was a jewish man. He was doing things like making pork sausage and eating food, without even knowing if it was kosher.
It made me really angry to see him doing all these unkosher things even though, I would assume, he knew better.
So this morning I let my mouth get the better of me AGAIN, and I had ANOTHER talk with my mom. Thankfully, I relized that this is like
the practice before the battle. I realized that my anger, my being upset and disappointed with that jewish man, doing the wrong things even
though he knew better, must be what YHWH feels when we do those things.
So after that we all read the book I mentioned earlier, and here are my notes on that:
We as believers are in danger of losing YHWH amongst the wonders of His Word, because we do not study enough.
Once again, I must confess, I have done exactly that [not study enough of the Word]. But when I search for Him diligently,
I am filled with His joy.
We need to seek Him more than ever because the end times are coming and only the Bride will be marrying
Y'shua. "I believe that this generation is going to see the end times." Reflecting on Matt 24:12 I can see that, if you are not strong enough in His Word, then you will stumble.
And in the end times, because of this weakness, it is possible that our hearts will turn cold against Him. But, if we will act as a sponge and soak up in Torah, then we may endure till the end, and then, we shall be saved.
Kepha (Peter) said he would never deny Y'shua. Y'shua however said, "Before the rooster crows, you will have denied me three times." ~Matt. 26:34
We may say that we love Yahweh, that we will never deny Him, but unless we are soaked up like a sponge, we will fall at the hands of the enemy.
1 Shemuel 16:7 says, Yahweh sees everything in my heart. I can not hide anything from Him. He sees the attitude of my heart, weather or not the words come out of my mouth.
He sees the intention behind our words and our actions. He sees weather I am trying to speak more like Him... And He sees when I speak like a serpent... with a forked tongue.
He gave us our mouths, and the ability to use them, not for our own profit or gain, but to be an instrument that GLORIFIES Him, alone.
I'll leave you with one final verse... a verse I am embracing:
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man does accomplish much.
I will pray for you. Will you pray for me? Todah Rabah! {Thank you very much!}
That's it for now... Shalom!
Pray for the peace of Yisra'el!
